Lord Bhrama speaks “Oh! Mune, once I have visited the abode of Dhaksha with you, I have noticed Devi Sati who is the essence of the Universe and its living beings, prostrated before us and her father Dhakshaprajapathi and took a seat reverentially. Daksha offered his salutations and provided a comfortable seat to us. I have blessed Devi Sati that she would achieve an appropriate companion as a wedded husband, and both will have blissful life together. I have advised her that she would achieve the Lord who is the knower of all as her wedded husband; she would achieve a flawless groom, and remain inseparable from him. We both happened to live in the abode of Dhaksha for a long time, after that we have returned our abode. Daksha and Devi Virni were highly devoted to their daughter who is none other than the supreme Goddess Parameshwari, Jagathjanani, Paramba, Bhagavathi. Devi Uma who was personified as Dhakshayani at her own will performed various amusements with her female companions enticed everyone with her loveliness. Years have passed, Devi Uma attained the youthful age, and she has achieved the most beautiful appearance with her austerities and Tapasya. Daksha felt extremely happy watching his daughter growing to an attractive young maiden; on the back of the mind, he was anxious to offer such a tender and delicate daughter as a wedded wife to Lord Shiva. Devi Sati who was born to unite with her inseparable companion Lord Shiva was anxious to meet him and achieve him as a wedded husband. Devi Sati understood the anxieties stirred the mind of her father; therefore she approached her mother Devi Virni. Devi Sati Parameshwari spoke “Oh! Mother, I would like to conduct Tapasya to achieve that supreme Lord Mahadeva as a wedded husband, seeking both of your permission to undertake the Tapasya.” Thus Devi Sati engaged in the sincere veneration of supreme Lord Mahadeva. On an auspicious day in the month of Ashwini, on a fortnight she conducted elaborate worship of Lord Shiva and offered rice with jaggery, and rice with salt as Naivedhya. In the month of Karthik on the auspicious Paurnami day, she adored LordMahadeva, and offered sweet puddings as Neivedhyam. On the eighth day of Margashirsha Devi Sati adored Lord Mahadeva and offered cooked barley and sesame seeds as Neivedhyam. In the month of Pausha, on a Paurnami, Devi Sati conducted veneration of Mahadeva, and spend that night awake, on the next day she offered Krisharannam/cooked rice as Neivedhyam. In the month of Magha, on the Paurnami day, Devi Sati conducted veneration of Mahadeva, and she was awake in the whole night, and in the early hours conducted the worship of Lord Shiva on the river bank.  In the month of Phalguna, Amavasya, Devi Sati undertook the veneration of Lord Shiva, and kept her awake in the night, and conducted the worship of Lord Shiva with bale leaves and fruits, every three hours. In the month of Chaithra, on a Paurnami day, Devi Sati worshiped Lord Shiva with the flowers day and night. In the month of Magh, on a Paurnami day, Devi Sati worshiped Lord Mahadeva and offered cooked rice and sesame seeds as Neivedhyam. She consumed only the dairy products in the whole month and engaged in the worship of the Lord. Devi Sati conducted the worship of Lord Shiva in the month of  Jyeshta on a Paurnami day with the Bhrahathi flowers, and observed fast throughout the month. In the month of  Ashada on a Paurnami day, Devi Sati attired in a black robe undertook the worship of Lord Rudra with the Bhrahathi flowers. On the eighth and fourteenth day of the month Shravana, she conducted the worship of Lord Mahadeva and offered Yajjopaveetha and clothe to the Lord. On the thirteenth day of Amavasya in the month of Bhadrapada, Devi Sati worshiped Lord Shiva, undertook fast on the day, offered fruits and flowers to Lord Shiva as Neivedhyam. In this way, Devi Sati undertook strict austerities and worship of Lord Mahadeva with various flowers, leaves, and fruits.  Devi Sati carried out Nandhavrath, fasting on the day and conducted elaborate worship of Lord Mahadeva. The deities and Sages were highly pleased watching the sincere devotion of Devi Sati. We/Lord Vishnu and myself, Devi Lakshmi and Devi Saraswathi along with the Rishis and sages arrived in the place where Devi Sati was undertaking penance, the supreme Goddess who was incarnated as the daughter of Daksha has already achieved the highest of the form of an enlightened soul with her continuous austerities and Tapasya. We have prostrated before the supreme Goddess and praised her, and proceed to Mount Kailash. We stood before that supreme Lord, great Yogi with folded hands, and praised his endless splendor.”

The deities and Sages eulogized the supreme Lord Shiva with folded hands “Oh! Bhagavan, Oh! Lord of living and non-living things, Oh! Purusha, Oh! Mahesha, Oh! Paresha,  Oh!
