Maharishi Narada speaks “Oh!
Vidhe, kindly describes elaborately on the further proceedings of the
celestial wedding of Devi Sati with Lord Shiva.”
Lord Bhrama speaks “Oh!
Mune, I was extremely pleased listening to Dhaksha and Devi Virani who were immensely
happy to offer Devi Sati in wedding to Lord Shiva, returned to Mount Kailash to
convey the message of Daksha. The supreme Lord Vrishadhwaja was impatiently
waiting to learn the proceedings of the marriage, like an ordinary Jeeva.
Eshwara speaks “ Oh! Surashreshta, what did Dhaksha speak about the wedding of
Devi Sati to me? I am anxious to hear the opinion of Dhaksha, I am desirous to attain
Devi Sati as wedded wife; my mind is already devoted to her. Oh! Bhraman, I could
not bear the pain of separation from Devi Sati, hence I would like to achieve
her as wedded wife at the earliest.”
Lord Bhrama speaks “Oh!
Naradamune, I was pleased to watch the supreme Yogi behaving like an ordinary
Jeeva, eagerly waiting to be a Samsari for the welfare of the Universe and its living
beings, I have conveyed the message of Dhaksha who is equally desired to perform
the marriage of Devi Sati, who returned home after successful performance
extreme penance and Nandavrath to achieve that supreme Yogi as a wedded husband. Further,
Daksha expressed his desire to receive that supreme Lord Shiva to his abode on an auspicious day to offer Devi Sati in marriage. Lord Rudra was highly pleased and spoke to me “
Oh! Bhraman, I shall leave to the abode of Uma, shortly with Narada, your
mind-born sons/Saptharishis, along with my Ganas.” Soon my mind-born children
present to perform the celestial wedding of Parameshwara, soon Lord Vishnu
along with Goddess Mahalakshmi mounted on the celestial vehicle Garuda arrived
in Mount Kailash. Thus, on the thirteenth day/Thrayodhashi on the day of
Purvaphalguni Nakshathra, Lord Shiva along with Ganas, deities, Sages and
Rishis conducted the procession to the abode of Devi Uma. There was a huge
procession followed with the music, various musical instruments, and kettle drum, the supreme Lord
Parameshwara who has the luster of camphor, adorned in the crescent moon on matted hair
locks, smeared in sacred ashes, adorned in Rudraksha and serpents as
ornaments, mounted on the celestial bull, on the other hand, the deities were
attired in magnificent clothes, adorned in marvelous ornaments all over the body
and exquisite crowns, traveled on their own stunning vehicle. The Supreme Lord
Rudra mounted on the celestial bull surrounded by numerous Ganas, preceded to
the abode of Daksha. The huge procession of deities and Ganas arrived in the
abode of Dhaksha was received reverentially and offered decent seats for all.
Daksha received all the Rishis and Sages with utmost reverence, washed their
feet, and offered a respectable seat to them. The detailed rite of the marriage
has begun under the supervision of me, and Lord Parameshwara received Devi Uma
in marriage on an auspicious Lagna and Muhurtha. The deities offered salutation
to that supreme Lord Mahadeva and Devi Sati, praised the splendor of the celestial couple, there were sounds of
divine instruments reverberated all over the atmosphere, the deities cheered ‘Hail
Lord Mahadeva, Hail Goddess Devi Sati’.”
