Chapter – 63 – Rudra Samhitha/Sati Kanda – 2

Sutha Pauranika speaks “ Oh! Naimisharanyavasin, Maharishi Narada requested Lord Bhrama to narrate the highly auspicious celestial wedding and various pastimes of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi, which removes the sins of the readers and listeners.”

Maharishi Narada speaks “Oh! Vidhatha, Oh! Bhrama, Oh! Mahabhaga,  Bhagavan I would like to hear more and more about the auspicious legend of supreme Lord Mahadeva that could provide the highest of the piousness. Oh! Bhagavan, I would like to hear it from your lotus-like mouth, kindly describe all those amusements of supreme Lord Mahadeva. Oh! Vishwakrith, I would like to hear about the glorious birth of Devi Sati as the daughter of Dhakshaprajapathi, and how did the wedding of Lord Shiva took place with Devi Sati? Why did Devi Sati burn herself on the Yogagni in the Yajjya arena of Dhakshaprajapathi? How Devi Sati did took rebirth as Parvathi, the daughter of Mount Himavan and achieved the highest of the status as the consort of Lord Shiva? How Devi Parvathi did perform various austerities and penances? How did Devi Parvathi attain half of the body of Lord Shiva? Oh! Bhagavan, kindly narrate all those glorious legends, there is no one in the Universe capable to remove all my qualms.”

Lord Bhrama speaks “Oh! Mune, I shall describe that glorious and highly propitious legend of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi, listen to me carefully. Oh! Sage, it was ancient time, I and Lord Vishnu approached Lord Shiva and requested to narrate that glorious legend, later I have approached Lord Vishnu and heard it in detail. I shall narrate all those legends of Goddess Parvathi and Lord Shiva which could fulfill all the desires of the readers and listeners as well. At the beginning of the Kalpa, there was nothing present, other than the formless and changeless Bhramam, further achieved union with the Shakthi/Prakriti, in this way many forms and attributes came into sight. Oh! Sage, Lord Vishnu, and I were created from the left and right limbs of that supreme Lord Shiva and Goddess Uma, and Lord Rudra was born from the heart of that supreme Lord. Thus, the supreme Bhramam divided into three, as Lord Bhrama who undertakes the functions of the creation, Lord Vishnu as the preserver and Lord Rudra as the destroyer. I have created deities, Prajapathis, Manasaputhras, Sage Marichi, Athri, Pulaha, Pulasthya, Angiras, Krathu, Vashishta, Narada, Dhaksha, and Bhrigu. Oh! Sage, while I was engaged in the creation of my mind-born son, there was a beautiful damsel was also born, her loveliness was indescribable, capable to magnetize all the minds, it was impossible to find such an attractive and virtuous woman in the three worlds. At that moment a most charming youth appeared in my mind, had the complexion of molten yellow metal, attractive nose, sparkling line of teeth, curved eyebrows and charming facial appearance, broad chest and conch shaped neck, high shoulder bones, marvelous hip, waistline, thighs, knees, and ankles. He had beautiful curly hair locks, he had the gait of an elephant, excellent physique, attired in blue garments, had beautiful eyes resembles the lotus flower petals, adorned in flower garlands. He was mounted on the Makara as the celestial vehicle, he was holding a bow and five flower arrows, his loveliness is beyond description, his body was adorned in rich fragrant scent, and fresh alluring flowers which released enticing aroma in the air. My mind-born son Dhaksha was completely arrested by the sight of the cupid arrow of Manmatha. Oh! Narada, that attractive Purusha born from my mind requested to describe his duties and responsibilities, that could earn respect from the Jeeva, and he also requested for a decent place to dwell and female companion as a wedded wife. I was stunned to watch the mesmerizing appearance of Kamadeva, instructed him to expand the creation with the bow and cupid flower arrows as a weapon.   Oh! Mune, none of the creatures on this planet or in the three worlds are free from him, including the supreme Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. I have advised Kamadeva to enter into the minds of the creatures and expand the function of creation.”

Lord Bhrama speaks to Narada “Oh! Vathsa, I have eulogized the supreme Goddess Jagathdhathri with beautiful verses, and repeatedly prostrated before her, soon Goddess Kali was highly pleased with my devotion, spoke to me affectionately “Oh! Bhrama, I am pleased with your devotion, I shall perform the function of creation as you have desired.” I spoke to Goddess Mahadevi “Oh! Devi, Oh! Maheshani, you are omniscient, whatever I have eulogized was destined by you. Oh! Deveshi, your consort Lord Shiva was born from the middle of my eyebrows as Rudra, he is performing extreme austerities and Tapasya in the Mount Kailash with the Bhoothaganas. He is all alone without a companion, he is pure and unique, and he is Bhoothesha, an extreme Vairagin. Oh! Devi kindly entices him with your loveliness, no one can perform that task other than you. Oh! Shive kindly personifies as the daughter of Dhakshaprajapathi, and get married to that supreme Lord Shiva. Oh! Shive, I shall repeatedly prostrate before you. Oh! Devi, you have assumed the form of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and became the consort of Lord Mahavishnu, kindly please Lord Shiva for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings. Oh! Devi, he is a renounced soul, do not know how he would accept you as his consort, he is the cause of Universe and its living beings, If he remains detached to the material world, there would not be any auspiciousness at all. I am extremely worried about the welfare of the Universe. Oh! Devi, kindly personifies as the daughter of Daksha and gets married to that supreme Lord Shiva who is the creator and destroyer of the Universe and its living beings. Oh! Maheshwari, Oh! Devi, Dhakshaprajapathi is undertaking extreme penance on the northern shore of the milky ocean, in order to achieve you as his daughter.” Devi Bhagavathi, Paramba, Jagathjanani was highly pleased, spoke “Oh! Bhrama, you are the essence of creation, you are the eulogizer of Veda, and how did you become overpowered by the Maya of that Lord? He is supreme Lord Mahadeva, free from impurities, he is incomprehensible, and he is the destroyer of Moha, I shall remain Sarvadhadhasi/sincere maidservant of that Lord. He is independent; he is the remover of sins of the Jeeva.  He is supreme Lord Parameshwara and Rudra as well. He represents Lord of Bhrama and Lord Vishnu, he is a flawless Yogi, and he is the Lord of Maya. Oh! Bhrama, it was your ignorance, you have considered him as your son, who was initiated from the middle of your eyebrows. Oh! Bhrama, you have uttered the truth, no one can entice him. You have spoken the truth, if Lord Shiva remains Vairagin, the creation will not progress. Therefore, I should transform that great Yogi into a householder at the earliest. I should serve that supreme Lord Maheshwara like Goddess Lakshmi who is the consort of Lord Vishnu. I shall take birth as Sati, the daughter of Dhakshaprajapathi, and perform various amusements with that Lord and shall remain as the wedded wife of that Lord Mahadeva. ” Thus Goddess Durga disappeared from my sight. I have returned with my mind-born sons to the abode of Sathyaloka and narrated all those incidents to them.”

He opened eyes and found the gorgeous Goddess Uma standing next to the supreme Lord Shiva, looked at Jagathjanani, Paramba, Bhagavathi, and the son of Yajjadhaththa thought in awe “Who is this most beautiful woman/Sarvangasundari in the Universe, standing next to that supreme Lord Mahadeva? She is the epitome of beauty, grace and loveliness must have performed several Tapasya to achieve that nearness to that supreme Lord.”

Chapter – 59 – Rudra Samhitha/Shrishti Kanda – 18

Lord Bhrama speaks to Narada “Oh! Vathsa, Gunanidhi son of the pious Bhramin Jyanadhaththa, came to know that his father has abandoned the home and the family, he sunk in deep distress, he also left the home and crossed several miles away from the city of Kampilya, he was worn out of exhaustion and hunger. All on his way, Gunanidhi realized that he had made a huge mistake being in the association of the wicked people; at last, he has neither wealth nor knowledge to lead a life, regretted his mistake spent in the association of the unworthy people, that too after taking birth in the illustrious clan of Somayaji.   He understood the power of fate, he was not used to begging for meal or shelter, and no one would be willing to provide shelter without money. All these days, he was taking complete liberty on the love and kindness of parents, his mother used to feed him with the delicious meals before the sunrise. He sat under the shade of tree thinking about the misdemeanor to his own parents, thus the time of sunset has arrived. Soon, he could see a huge gathering of devotees of Lord Shiva in a shrine; those were villagers of Kampilya came in the woods to worship Lord Shiva on the night of Shivarathri. They have brought various offerings for the deity, Gunanidhi could smell the Neivedhya brought for the worship, and the smell was so captivating, he was tired of hunger and thirst joined with the villagers and took a seat with them in the worship. The wicked Gunanidhi had some other plans in his mind, was thinking all the devotees may go to sleep after a few hours of veneration so that he can consume the Prasadha at his heart’s content. Surprisingly, the worship of Lord Shiva continued for several hours, Gunanidhi noticed that at the end of the worship people gathered were dancing and singing merrily, finally, all of them retired to sleep. Soon he entered in the attic in search for the Prasadha found the room was completely dark, there was an earthen lamp in the corner of the attic was almost fading; soon he tore a piece  of cloth from his scarf,  put a new wick on the lamp so that he could get better vision. He took a handful of Prasadha while returning he bumped on to a devotee who was asleep on the floor of the attic. Soon, the person who was sleeping on the attic called out for people; in the meantime Gunanidhi stuffed some of the Prasadha on his mouth eventually met an accidental death in the crowd.”

Lord Bhrama continues “Oh! Narada, soon the emissaries of Yama who has the dreadful appearance, holding mace and noose arrived, prepared to take him to the abode of Yamadharma, shortly the emissaries of Lord Shiva who has attired sacred ashes, Rudraksha and trident appeared before them. Shivagana spoke “Oh! Emissaries of Yama, why are you here? This Bhramin is the devotee of Lord Shiva, he is not deserved to be punished, and all his sins are washed off. Therefore, leave the Bhramin at once.” The attendants of Lord Yama was afraid of Shivaganas, spoke amiably “ Oh! Gana, this Bhramin led a miserable life, leaving all the religious and spiritual rites, he misbehaved to his parents, he took the liberty of their affection, he did not follow a righteous and truthful life. He discarded all the customary rites, took great pleasure in the evil deeds, finally he took part in the Naivedhya of supreme Lord, he does not deserve to be here in the first place. Whoever shows disrespect to the Naivedhya and the offerings of the Lord are sinful, whoever misuses the property of Lord Shiva would meet a miserable end. This Bhramin is deserved to be punished, need not worthy of any kind of sympathy. If so, kindly enlighten us.” The Shivagana immersed in the contemplation upon Lord Shiva for a while and began to speak “Oh! Emissaries of Yama, listen to me carefully, 1) Even though he entered the attic to steal the offerings, found the earthen lamp that was almost off; he put a new wick on the lamp with his own scarf and brightened the lamp. 2) He impatiently sat with the villagers and was listening to the glorious names of Lord Shiva 3) He witnessed the veneration of Lord Shiva on the auspicious night of Shivarathri 4) He was tired of hunger and thirst, had no option other than listening to the chants. After considering all these, he is deserved to be in the abode of Lord Shiva and should enjoy the pleasure in the Shivaloka for some time, eventually, he will get relieved from all the previous sins, and would be born as the King of Kalinga. Therefore, this Bhramin is deserved to be in the Shivaloka, Oh! Emissaries of Yama, you can return to your abode.”

Lord Bhrama concludes “Oh! Vathsa, I have narrated the piousness of the worship of Lord Shiva and the consumption of the Neivedhya. The emissaries of the Lord Yama returned to the abode of Lord Yama empty-handed, Lord Yama enquired the reason for it was narrated all that conversation took place with the emissaries of Lord Shiva. Lord Yama advised his emissaries “Oh! Emissaries, 1) do not bring people who are adorned in Tripundra of the sacred ashes on the forehead, or ashes smeared all over the bodies,  2)do not bring people who are devotees of Lord Shiva, 3) do not bring people who wear Rudraksha and matted hair locks, 4) do not bring the devotees of Lord Shiva or people who pretend to be the devotees of Lord Shiva.” The emissaries of Lord Yama felt immensely happy listening to their Master. The Brahmin proceeded to Shivaloka with the Ganas, after serving the magnanimous Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi in the Mount Kailash for some time; he has taken birth as the son of King Arindhama of Kalinga. Dhama was a studious and great devotee of Lord Shiva from the early years of childhood, he made great companions with the devotees of the Lord. Later he was crowned as the King of Kalinga at a young age after the death of his father, he ruled the Kingdom wisely, performed various righteous deeds. King Dhama was an excellent ruler, performed various charitable and noble works, he enlightened the Praja the meritorious rewards of lightning lamps in the shrines of Lord Shiva and the piousness of it, and if anyone fails to do so were undergone punishment. Oh! Sutha, Veda highly praise the charity of earthen lamps, it would please Lord Shiva immensely. King Dhama insisted people lighten the lamp in the shrine of Lord Shiva, and compulsorily put them into the practice during his lifetime.  After his death, he took birth as the Lord of Alakapuri, the piousness earned in his previous birth provided him highly commendable status as the Lord of wealth. Oh! Munishwara, I have described the wicked Bhramin Gunanidhi who approached the shrine of Lord Shiva with a selfish motive, and happened to witness all those venerations of Mahashivarathri, he secretly entered in the attic to steal the offerings put new wick made of his own scarf on the earthen lamp and brightened the lamp, he consumed the Neivedhyam of Lord Shiva and met his death. Oh! Vathsa, later he was born as King of Kalinga, performed the same virtue he was holding in the past, throughout his life he encouraged people to lighten the earthen lamp in the shrine of Lord Shiva and after death he achieved the meritorious reward as the Lord of wealth/Lord of Alakapuri. Whoever listens to the legend of Gunanidhi would get all their desires fulfilled.”

Chapter – 58 – Rudra Samhitha/Shrishti Kanda – 17

Sutha Pauranika speaks “Oh! Sages, Maharishi Narada offered humble salutation to Lord Bhrama and appealed to describe when did Lord Shiva return to the abode of Kailsha and when did the association of Lord Kubera with Lord Shiva was taken place. Maharishi Narada expressed his desire to know the legends on the various amusements of Lord Shiva in the supreme abode of Kailash. ”

Lord Bhrama speaks “Oh! Narada, I shall describe the various amusements of Lord Chandhrashekhara, and the friendship between Lord Shiva and Lord Kubera as well. Oh! Vathsa, listen to me carefully, there was a pious Brahmin family/Somayaji in the glorious city of Kampilya, Yajjnadhaththa who was well-versed in Veda and Shastra, an excellent speaker of religious and spiritual texts, was highly honored by the King of Kampilya. Yajjnadhaththa was a virtuous, highly educated, handsome, strict follower of disciplines, religious and spiritual rites. Yajjnadhaththa had a son Gunanidhi, and the Upanayana Samskara of the child was performed at an early year of childhood, shortly he gathered deep knowledge in Veda and Vedanga, scriptures. Unfortunately, Gunanidhi has fallen in the trap of the evil company of the people, who were gamblers. Gunanidhi took great pleasure in the association of them, stolen money from home, and gave it to the gamblers to keep his friendship with them intact. Gradually, he has lost interest in all the spiritual and religious rites, discarded the performance of the sun worship, eventually he started disgracing the saintly and pious people, sacred texts, Vedas, deities, and Brahmins. He forgot all those righteous deeds and engaged in the immoral people and his mother has to hide all these facts from his father, support her one and only son. The mother of the Gunanidhi did not find a way to protect him from her husband; she portrayed their only son as virtuous, studious in religious and spiritual activities, learning of scriptures, etc. before him, in this way she has become part of sins of her own son. Yajjyanadhaththa was a virtuous and devoted Bhramin engages in various rites and keep himself busy with the learning and teaching of Veda and Shastra, he was completely unaware of the sinful deeds of his only son. At the age of sixteen Gunanidhi was introduced to Grihasthashrama, his mother took great effort to change his behavior and advised him and the consequences of it,  if his father comes to know about his gambling habits and demoralizing the values of a Bhramin Varnna. She made him understand that his father had earned great respect and honor of the society and the King with his virtues, not because of the wealth. She advised him several times to abandon the association of gamblers and return to his own duties and responsibilities, she made all attempts to retrieve him from the wicked association, taught him the wealth of a Bhramin is the disciplines and the virtues, she made him clear that he was born in the illustrious clan of Bhramin who believes in the performance of Somayajjna, various spiritual and religious rites, learning Veda, Vedanga, scriptures and impart knowledge in them. She insisted him to abandon the friendship with those gamblers and pick up the noble way of living which could bring wealth as well as appreciation in the society. Thus, the mother of Gunanidhi continued her advice for several years, but she did not find any changes in him. He had attained the age of nineteen and his wife was the age of sixteen, Gunanidhi’s mother made a final attempt to change her son, described the virtues of his father-in-law who is a well-known scholar in the society, she introduce his maternal uncle who was also a great scholar, she was deeply worried about her son who has neither picked the quality of maternal nor paternal parents. She advised Gunanidhi to stop his misdeeds, otherwise, the King will come to know about it, and it would put shame and hindrance to his father’s profession as well. She warned him that no one will take his side, the whole society will blame the entire family, the parents have to meet the disgrace and the society will discard them to accept them as Brahmins, it would put them in starvation. She was worried that the demeanor of Gunanidhi would put his father in big trouble and utter shame, she lamented over her fate that forced to give birth to an immoral child. Alas! Gunanidhi was least bothered about his mother’s anxiousness, he continued to be in the association of the gamblers.”

Lord Bhrama continues “ Gunanidhi continued to indulge in various immoral deeds, consumption of meat, taking pleasure in intoxicating drinks and spend hours with the prostitutes, gambling, stealing, and disrespecting sacred texts and religious and spiritual rites. He started to steal precious things from home and sold it in the market. Once his father found his precious finger ring awarded by the King of Kampilya, in the hands of a gambler, he questioned him and threatened him to tell the truth how did it reach in his hands. He disclosed the misdemeanor of Gunanidhi, and revealed the entire truth about him and his immoral deeds, spending days with gamblers and prostitutes, looting and consuming meals and taking pleasure in intoxicating drinks, etc. He also informed that Gunanidhi has performed various immoral deeds with his associates, stolen precious things from home and demoralized the religious and spiritual practices, etc. Yajjyadhaththa could not control his grief; his head bend down in utter shame and returned to home panic-struck. Yajjyadhaththa described all that he came to know about their son to his wife and enquired for the precious ring awarded by the King. She replied “Oh! Swami, I was busy with the household chores for the preparation of the meals for the guests, I have kept it somewhere I am not able to recollect it.” Yajjyadhaththa could not control his anger spoke “Oh! Asathputhrajanani/Kuputhra Janani, you have given birth to an immoral child, whenever I was enquired about our son, you have fooled me well, saying that he is into religious activities or performing religious rites. I have given you a beautiful red saree where is that? Where is that golden vase studded with the gems? Where is the silk scarf I have given to you? Where is that bronze vessel brought from the south? Where is the copper vessel brought from Bengal? Where is that ivory decorative? Where are those stunning decorative pieces? Oh! Kulajje, why should I blame you, I have made a mistake by taking up the vow of marriage with you, I have been happy without a family or son. You please bring water and sesame seeds, I have to perform the last rite for that immoral son of ours. It is good to remain childless, instead of an immoral son who ruined the dignity of the family and its clan. Thus he performed the last rite for his family members and left.”

Chapter – 57 – Rudra Samhitha/Shrishti Kanda – 16

Lord Bhrama speaks “Oh! Narada, the five essential elements such as Air, Earth, Ether, Water, fire, and the Prakrithi, mountains, oceans, trees, etc. came into existence, and it will be there at the end of Kali Yuga. Oh! Mune, I have created living and non-living things, but I was unsatisfied, contemplated upon the supreme Lord Mahadeva and Goddess Parvathi, further I have created the Saptharishis. Sage Marichi was born out of my eyes, Bhrigu from my heart, Angira and Vyasa and Pulaha from my head, Pulasthya from Udhanavayu, Vashishta from the Samana Vayu, Atri from the ears, and Dhakshaprajapathi from Pranavayu. Oh! Narada, you born on my lap, Kardhama was created out of my shadow, Dharma was created out of my notion for the welfare of all. Oh! Munisaththama, I have created excellent Sadhakoththama with the grace of that Supreme Lord Mahadeva, thus I have achieved contentment in my creation.  The mind-born Sadhakas of mine was the representation of Dharma, therefore they have engaged in Dharmic rites. I have created several deities, demons, and other living creatures. Oh! Mune, I have contemplated upon Lord Shankara, and I have created a male and female from my limb, they were Swayambhuva Manu and Devi Shatharoopa, eventually, Manu got attracted to the celestial damsel Devi Shatharoopa, thus the Maithuna Shrishti/creation of human by physical relationship has begun on the Earth.”

Lord Bhrama continues “Oh! Narada, Swayambhuva Manu, and Shatharoopa got married and this couple had two sons, Priyavratha and Uththanapadha. They had three daughters too; they were Akuthi, Devahuthi, and Prasuthi. Sage Ruchi was married to Akuthi, Kardhamaprajapathi was married to Devahuthi, and Daksha Prajapathi was married to Devi Prasuthi. Thus, human life on Earth has begun. Akuthi and Ruchi had two sons Yajja and Dhakshina, further Yajja and Dhakshina got married and had twelve sons. Devahuthi and Kardama Prajapathi had several daughters. Dhakshaprajapathi and Prasuthi had twenty-four daughters. Oh! Mune, Dhakshaprajapathi gave away his thirteen daughters in marriage to Dharma. The names of the thirteen wives of Dharma are Shraddha, Lakshmi, Dhrithi, Kriya,  Shanthi, Thushti, Pushti, Medha, Buddhi, Lajja, Vasu, Siddhi, and Keerthi.  The eleven daughters of Dhakshaprajapathi were Khyathi, Sathi, Sambhuthi, Smrithi, Preethi, Kshama, Sannathi, Anuroopa, Uraja, Svaha, and Swadha, were married to Sage Bhrigu,  Bhava/Shiva, Marichi, Angirass, Pulasthya, Pulaha, Krathu, Athri, Vashishta, Agni, and Pithrus respectively, thus these married couples had their own sons and daughter, and the creation has expanded, except Bhava and Sathi had no offspring. In another Kalpa, Daksha Prajapathi had sixty daughters, ten of them married to Dharma, and twenty-seven daughters were married to Chandra and thirteen daughters were married to Kashyapa Prajapathi, and three daughters were married to Sage Bhrigu, Angiras, and Krishashva respectively. Thirteen girls were married to Kashyapa had several children, thus the life on Earth has expanded again, the couple has given birth to Rishis, deities,  Dhaithyas, trees, mountains, etc. in this way,  living and non-living things appeared on the Earth. Thus, the cosmic egg/Bhramanda filled with the living and non-living things, from Pathal Loka to Sathya Loka. In this way, the creation of living and non-living things took place with the grace of Lord Mahadeva.”

Sutha Pauranika speaks “Oh! Sages, Devi Sati who was the daughter of Dhakshaprajapathi was Jagathjanani, Paramba, Bhagavathi who was born for Tapasya, and for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings. The abode of Vaikunda represents her left limb, Bhramaloka represents her right limb, and Rudra represents her heart. Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra  represents Trigunas, the supreme Lord Sadhashiva is beyond virtues and infallible. Lord Bhrama represents Rajoguna, Lord Vishnu has Sathvik and Thamasik as well, and Lord Shiva has Thamasik and Sathvik as well. The Swaradevi/Vakdevi/ Goddess of speech have the Rajasik nature, Devi Sati represents Sathvik nature, and Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi has Thamoguna. The supreme Goddess ShivA represents the Tridevi.  Goddess Sati was married to Lord Shiva, later she abandoned her body in the Yogagni.  She took rebirth at the request of deities, she was born to Mount Himavan and Devi Menavathi and conducted extreme penance, and thus Parvathi got married to Lord Shiva, and returned to her supreme abode of Mount Kailash. The supreme Goddess ShivA/Parvathi who symbolizes virtues and auspiciousness, has several sacred names, Kalika, Chandika, Bhadra, Chamunda, Vijya, Jaya, Jayanthi, Bhadrakali, Durga, Bhagavathi, Kamaksha, Kamada, Amba, Mridani, Sarvamangala, and Parvathi.  Whoever worships her with intense devotion and faith would attain welfare and happiness, ultimately salvation from the repeated births. The Thridevi/Parvathi, Saraswathi, and Lakshmi symbolize virtues and auspiciousness.”

Lord Bhrama concludes “Oh! Narada, I have narrated the creation of Universe and its living beings took place with the grace of supreme Lord Mahadeva, hence the Lord of Lords Mahadeva is supreme, I, Vishnu, and Rudra are his manifestation. The Supreme Lord Sadhashiva is independent to assume the Saguna and Nirguna swaroopa, he performs various amusements with the Goddess ShivA in the Shivaloka. Lord Rudra is  Swayam Shiva who has five faces, Soma, Surya and Agni as three eyes on each faces,  lives in the supreme abode of  Kailash, which is beyond destruction. The whole Universe and its living beings undergo destruction at the end of Yuga, except the abode of the supreme Lord Shiva.”
